City of Jackson Style Guide

The City of Jackson's brand style guide is a crucial resource for ensuring the proper use of the organization's logo and maintaining consistency in its visual identity. This guide is intended for use by City administrators, public affairs specialists, clerical staff, and employees who create materials using the City's identity. It is also recommended that appropriate external resources and vendors be supplied with this guide to ensure compliance with the City's guidelines. The unauthorized use of the City of Jackson's organizational logo by third parties is strictly prohibited, and any use that falls outside of the specifications outlined in the Brand Guide will be subject to modification or deletion. The City of Jackson reserves the right to terminate or modify permission to display its organizational logo, and will object to any unfair uses or misuses of the logo or other violations of applicable law. Ultimately, this guide is essential for maintaining the integrity of the City of Jackson's brand identity and ensuring that its logo is used appropriately and effectively.

The primary colors green and blue are key indicators of the City of Jackson, TN (COJ) brand. Black is most often used for typography while the gray may be used as a supporting color on branded print and digital media.

Our primary focus is on cultivating and promoting positive relationships between the City of Jackson and external partners. We are dedicated to developing and implementing collaborative partnerships with a diverse range of entities, including community groups, non-profits, agencies, businesses, and schools.

Our objective is to identify and address critical issues while maintaining and improving the database of community contacts. At the core of our mission is the development and maintenance of community outreach programs. These programs encompass presentations and reports delivered to neighborhood groups, public meetings, youth groups, and community organizations. We act as representatives of the city, providing valuable feedback on concerns and advocating for increased citizen participation.

Additionally, we take charge of coordinating and/or assisting with special events, ceremonies, and programs. We work collaboratively with other city departments, external agencies, and relevant groups to ensure these events foster community involvement. By actively engaging with our community, we strive to strengthen the bonds that make Jackson a thriving and interconnected city.
